A painting in the photo-realist style of a New Zealand icon that you will find at every sausage sizzle (a very cheap sausage wrapped in a slice of very cheap bread). Inspired by the work of artists like Ralph Goings who painted the humble cuisine of the American diner. I cooked & constructed the genuine article, photographed it, drew a grid on the photo and the canvas and then copied square by square.
